Internill is a medical-legal illustration company focused on providing compelling and detailed illustration exhibits that represent your clients personal injury trauma.
We partner with attorneys and medical experts to create accurate visuals that form a bridge when communicating with other legal experts, or presenting to the jury.
Medical and anatomical topics are challenging to communicate to a lay audience. The suffering of the plaintiff in personal injury cases is often insufficiently communicated without adequately prepared drawings that apply the knowledge of the medical expert in bespoke form of your clients details.
Having expertly crafted visuals that make no compromises and leave nothing to imagination is fundamental to maximizing outcomes.

“When I was 10 years old my family went through an extremely challenging time when my dad experienced an accident on a construction site. I spent weeks in the hospital with my family as my father fought for his life. Then the ensuing years of physical therapy, follow-up surgeries, and a court case which didn’t go well. I can’t help but wonder if having a medical illustrator back then could have helped my family’s outcome. Today it is part of my passion for representing clients who have suffered injury.”

“As an internal medicine resident, I am committed to approaching each patient’s case with meticulous care and unwavering curiosity, noting their distinct needs, personal values, medical history, and cultural context. My awareness of the dynamic between culture and medicine sharpened during my rotations on the Navajo reservation, particularly concerning language. In Navajo culture, they believe words possess the power to shape outcomes. Consequently, I found myself delicately balancing the use of indirect speech to honor their culture while ensuring that my questions still gathered essential information.”
“Josh creates some of the best medical artwork I’ve seen in the legal exhibit industry. He pioneered the Cinematic Summary of Injury (CSI) exhibit for High Impact, where we stack the radiographic films to create 3D models of fractures, and it looks incredible and clients with big damages cases love em. A. Colorized X-ray of complex fractures of the leg, juxtaposed next to a 3D model comparison of a simple fracture.
We analyze the injuries and make it feel like you are seeing (and feeling) the true injury.
B. Fracture of the hand with before and after

Reconstructions are built on the volumetric data in CT scans. We apply it into 3D software to make it editable, and then the artists touch brings it to life.
Analyzing the 3D model against the different views of the CT, we assess the accuracy of the output. We additionally utilize any available photos of the client.

The 3D models are brought into software to add lighting and texture, and the models are hand painted to bring maximum realism.
